Uncle Scott and Aunt Tracy

Uncle Scott and Aunt Tracy came to visit us all the way from Baltimore, MD. Their new baby arrives in November. We can't wait to see her.

The CAKE

Alex loves Dora-- so that's what kind of cake we got her. I, however, wasn't expecting it to be quite so Barneyesque. I just told them Dora at the bakery and this is what we got. Very cute but perhaps not so stain forgiving if gotten on her pretty party birthday dress. Hence , the reason for the nakedness. At least she had her "fancy necklace" on. Please don't fret, once we did the cake thing the dress went right back on.

Then there is the ubiquitous sippy cup. She loves to drink. I wasn't taking it away from her and risking the temper tantrum. Not on her birthday. I wanted some tear free pictures.
When I told her to blow out the candles-- she knew right what to do. Hope your wish comes true, sweet girl.
She is a little sugar freak. All she wanted was the frosting. Yummy!!!!

PRESENTS

Last year our girl didn't quite know what to do with the presents but this year she was a paper tearing maniac. She loved them and wanted the next one before the other one was finished being opened.

BIRTHDAY GIRL

Here is Mommy and Daddy with the birthday girl. She loved her balloons. When she sees balloons at the store , she gets excited and says
"boon".

She loves necklaces. I bought her a whole bunch of these beads oops I mean "fancy necklaces". Sometimes she will put 6 on at a time--- ooooo pretty

A big thank you to everyone that came to Alex's second birthday party

I just wanted to give a quick thanks to everyone that came to Alex's birthday party, it was a huge success. Alex loved all her presents and we appreciate the contributions to her college fund. We hope everyone had a good time. The cake was good, the food was good (except some of my early grilling) and the fun was non-stop. I do see a couple of items that need improved on and will work on those before next year. Pictures will follow soon, but we have about 200 pictures to sort through and we want to get the really good ones so be patient. Once again Thank you all.

Birthday girl

Today is Alex's 2nd birthday. We are having her party on Sunday so there will be actual party pictures to follow but here are a few cute ones we have taken today or in the last few days.
Yummy raisins!!
This girl will fight you for some ice cream now. Next time she is getting her very own cone because "share" is a difficult word for her to comprehend.

ARTS FESTIVAL

WE TOOK OUR LITTLE SUPERSTAR TO THE ARTS FESTIVAL LAST WEEK. WE HAD FUN THOUGH IT WAS QUITE HOT.
WE SAW THIS DOUBLE RAINBOW OUTSIDE ON OUR BACK PORCH. IT IS THE SECOND TIME IN A COUPLE OF MONTHS THAT WE HAD A DOUBLE RAINBOW IN THE SAME EXACT SPOT.

READING AND DQ

HERE'S OUR SWEET GIRL READING HER BOOK OUT ON THE DECK. SHE IS REALLY IN TO READING RIGHT NOW. SHE GOES AND GETS A BOOK AND CRAWLS IN TO YOUR LAP AND POINTS TO ALL THE PICTURES AS YOU READ TO HER.

CAN I JUST SAY " JUNK FOOD JUNKIE" ---- IF YOU LET HER. THIS JUST HAPPENED TO BE A STRAWBERRY MILKSHAKE AND IT WAS KILLING HER TO SHARE WITH MOMMY AND DADDY. SHE IS A GUZZLER.
