The Fair

So we went to the fair again this year and it was all about the rides. She wanted to ride everything. We did ride quite a bit. I think that we have a little adrenalin junkie on our hands. The faster it went the faster she wanted it to go. She would say"more more". I can only imagine next year.

A litte Bored

We started out riding these little cars because we weren't sure how she would do riding them by herself. Well, she was a little bored I think. So we picked up the pace with the race cars (in the following post) and she loved them

The Need for Speed

Please-- Todd asks for no comments on the 24 car.

This was a little more her style -- she liked it when the car was whipping around. She was laughing and having a great time

Old Friends are the Best Friends

Last weekend we dashed off to Michigan for a little camping trip. I really can't say we roughed it because we stayed in a camper that had central air. (I didn't even know campers had air conditioning) But I will say that we had an awesome time.
Please meet our old friends Monte and Tara and their 4 kids (the 5th one was their cute little neighbor girl). We have known Monte and Tara a long time. 12 years I think. Before any of us ever imagined children. They were in Germany for 4 years and got home in 2006 so we realized it was time to pay them a visit. They hadn't met Alex yet and we hadn't met Lucas yet. We just really had an amazing time. The kids all had fun together, the brats were fabulous, the beer was cold, the fire was hot, and the company-- well let's just say we picked up where we left off and leave it at that. None of us (the adults) has changed in that department. We still laugh at the same things and say the same things. It was hilarious. With the kids there we just have more to laugh about. We definitely plan on making this a yearly tradition.
So here are some pictures and posts about our trip.

4 Wheelin'

We had a lot of fun riding the 4 wheelers. Alex loved it. Todd had her on the front and she was saying "faster daddy faster". She loves to be an adrenalin junkie.

I even got in on the action

Monte and Todd-- just like old times. The used to ride these in the military sometimes.

All the kids had their own 4 wheelers. They had no fear.

Our Daredevil

No she did not ride this by herself but while all the adults were talking she put the gloves on and climbed up there and pretended. She loved it.

Campfire fun

This is the girl who never eats hot dogs for me. She ate the whole thing and asked for more.

Watermelon never tasted so good.

Her first S'more. Her lips were smacking.
