A PRINCESS TRIFECTA

Well, my wonderful friend Denise hired a babysitter for the ENTIRE day while we were there so we could have a lovely girlfriends day. These are what the kids made while we were having a kidfree lunch and the most fantastic pedicure I ever had. Abby wore this crown around for days.

Needless to say my children had an awesome time on vacation. There was sand and sea, there were spinning teacups and merry go rounds, water rides and even lollipops at the end of the evening. Spoiled???? Only a little.

This was Abby's first trip to the beach. I think the pictures say it all.

I love to sit out on the deck with a cocktail watching the boats come in. It is so relaxing. We didn't really have time to do that this trip with the kids but I did take a moment to appreciate the scenery.

6 kids 4y.o. and under

Here was our little beach troop. Man, it is hard to get 6 kids to sit still for one little photo. Oh well, you get the gist of it.
















Aunt Denise made goody bags. They were awesome. She put all kinds of stuff in them.

THey started out fully clothed

Man, you should have seen their eyes when they went outside and saw this. Alex in particular, was in seventh heaven. They started out with all their clothes on and ended up in their undies. Too funny. I love Abby's expression of pure joy in the top picture. That smile just melts my heart.

Bouncing in their underwear

I really don't know how they ended up with their clothes off but somehow they ended up eating their popsicles in their underwear in the bouncy. It was hilarious. They had the best time and made their mommies laugh and laugh. They wanted to take their underwear off too but we had to draw the line somewhere, didn't we? We did.

Leaving on a jetplane

Me and the girls flew in to BWI to spend a week with Aunt Denise. This was Abby's first flight since China and Alex's second. They loved it. They were so well behaved at the airport and on the plane.
Please excuse the fuzzy pictures-- I had to use my pocket camera and had no time to adjust anything.

Vacation

Our vacation started out 2 weekends ago with a visit to the T family. We met the T family on our first trip to China. Their daughter Rosie and Alex are "China Sisters". The T's have 5 kids-3 of them from China and are pictured here. They also have 2 teenage boys. We always have a great time with the T's. The kids got to play and play and play and the mommies and daddys got to chat and have cocktails and laugh and laugh. It is never a dull moment at their house, especially with 5 kids. We took the kids swimming and to Coney Island. Alex was excited that there were more rides. She has had quite the summer full of riding every carnival ride for kids that you could think of between the fair, Coney Island, and Jolly Rogers. She wants to do it every day.
The kids played great together and had a ball. We will get to see the T family again in October when we have our China family get together. Can't wait.

In the picture at top are Rosie, Maggie, Alex, Cooper, and Abby. Poor Cooper-- he doesn't have a chance with all those girls. But he will be loving it in about 10 years.
