I took Alex outside to try to build a snowman. That attempt failed due to the lack of packing snow available. So we took a sled ride and made snow angels. Here is my little snow angel.

GUNG HAY FAT CHOY
HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR EVERYONE !!!
Today Mommy went to Alex's class to celebrate Chinese New Year. Alex wore one of her Chinese outfits and everyone in the class wore red. Red is lucky in China. Mommy brought a yummy snack (Chinese fruit salad). We read a book about Chinese New Year and made a paper lantern. We had an awesome time. Alex did great. She was a little clingy at first but settled right down. Here are some cute pictures from our day.
I just love this smile.

Birthday Party
My cousin's little girl, Kendall, had a birthday party. Alex was so excited to go. That is all I heard for two days was "me go Kendall's birfday potty". Alex was so funny, she had to help Kendall open the present we got her. It was so sweet. And at one point Alex had her hands on Kendall's cheeks, mamarazzi missed that Kod*ak moment. Here are a few cute shots of Alex "helping". (I love the koolaid mustache)
My aunt made individual cakes for the kids and we sang happy birthday to them and they got to blow out a candle. She didn't want them to feel left out. I love this picture with the party hats. Alex wouldn't wears hers until everyone had put theirs on.
Kendall, the birthday cutie. Every one year old needs a dirty face cake eating picture.

This is funny.
Alex and I were at Kohl's the other day. I was pushing her around in the stroller and all of a sudden she says "Hi Daddy". Well-- I knew Todd was home sleeping so I started looking around. I looked at her and she was pointing to the picture up on the wall. I said to her " Is that your Daddy?" and she says Yes. I just started laughing. They do kind of look alike and the coloring is spot on. It was so funny. I just had to share.

RIP Spencer
Today is a hard day for all of us, we had to put our family dog down tonight, without a doubt the hardest thing I have ever had to do. I know in my heart that it was the right thing, but that surely didn't ease the pain. He would have been 14 on the 15th of January. We love and miss him very much and he will live in our hearts forever
