Playdate #2 for the week.

Our playgroup had a little zoo outing today. I think we had a total of 15 kids. It was crazy. And to try to get a group photo with 13 toddlers. Whew-- this is what I came up with. There were a few mamarazzi so maybe they got some better shots than me. They were is constant motion. Their expressions are so funny.
So here are:

Sisters

It is so nice to see my girls getting along. Alex is doing much better in the jealosy department. She still has moments but she seems to have resigned herself to the fact that Abby is not going away. I just put them to bed-- together-- they have both been wanting it--- and I haven't heard a peep since I put them down. I don't know-- should I check on them. The monitor is on but there is no sound. Neither of them had a nap today so I know they are exhausted. Keep your fingers crossed for a peaceful night.

Dancing at L*wes

Do you think the burly manly men at L*wes can appreciate 2 toddlers dancing in the aisles?

Hair cuts

We took Alex to get her hair cut yesterday. It needed it. Poor thing, it was so ratty tatty on the ends. They took 2 inches off and she loves it.

Of course, Squirt (that is what I call her) wanted her hair cut too so we had them trim hers up and angle it a little in the back. She loved getting her hair cut. She sat up there like she gets it done every day.

Here they are all finished with their haircuts and enjoying balloons and suckers.

Play Group Fun

We have an awesome playgroup that we have fun with. Here are some cute pictures of Abby's first time meeting everyone. I think she fit right in.

Mia and Alex

We were moving quick to get them all up there and capture this mamarazzi moment. It is hard work chasing toddlers around waiting for just the right smile or just the perfect pose. It is hard with one let alone 6. But I think it turned out pretty darn good.

Mia, Abby, and Gracyn

Now, don't cha wonder what these two were giggling about?

Bike A Thon

Alex had a Bike A Thon at her preschool this week. She is not really in to riding her tricycle so she took her scooter. She did a great job. Abby was mad that she wasn't out there riding so I found her something with wheels. Then both our girls got medals because "everyone" is a winner at preschool.

Easter 2009

I can't remember if I posted these pictures before we left for China. I probably did but here is a little Easter egg recap. We did "sparkle" eggs this year.

Dress up

I took this picture before we went to China. Alex just loves this dress-- it was her 3 year old birthday party dress. I finally put it in the dress up box. Abby had it on the other day too. Don't you just love the shoes. She is " rockin" this outfit.

Garden Fairies

So-- okay-- I am a cheesy mamarazzi. But I can't help myself. Yes, I bought them fairy wings. And yes, they were running around in the front yard with them on and they actually posed for pictures for me. (I should get fairy wings more often). I only wish they had on dresses with fluffy tulle but alas ... it was a jeans kind of day. You take what you can get, right?
So here are my darling girls laughing and having a marvelous time together.

My Sweet Girls

So here they are freshly bathed, night time drink cup, and ready for bed. I got these adorable matching jammies in China.
They are doing pretty good together, although almost everything gets made in to a competition. Don't let Abby's cute little face fool you, she can instigate in a heart beat. She already knows just the right buttons to push on Alex to make her mad. We are constantly refereeing.

We had Abby's international adoption clinic visti today. It went well. Nothing unexpected. They will be referring us to the burn clinic for her arm but no other referrals were needed. She is pretty close to being caught up on her development. They only thing she is really behind on is her speech and there is an obvious reason for that. They want to wait 3-6 months to see how her speech develops. She had an interpreter today but I don't even know how much she really helped because I think Abby is really understanding alot of English. She can't speak it but she understands alot . She has started pointing to things and wanting to know what it is and then she will repeat it when you tell her. She is starting to count in English on her own. And she mocks alot of what Alex says. I have been trying to get her talking on video but it is hard because she wants to see the video while you are taking it.

Alex is doing okay. She has been regressing alot. She is so funny-- Abby said something to me in Chinese and Alex repeated it and I told Alex that she could just use her regular words to talk and she told me that she was speaking Chinese. Too cute.
