Garden Pixies

These are some pictures I took of the girls 2 or 3 weeks after we go home from China with Abby. I was waiting to post them until I did Abby's announcement. (I wanted to use these pictures for that). The expressions they have sometimes just crack me up.

Visit to Aunt Suzy's house in Michigan

So a few weeks ago we went to see my friend, Suzy, who lives in Michigan. I have known Suzy for 23 years (we met in college). She is basically my sister. I consider her family-- hence the reason the girls call her Aunt Suzy. We always have fun when we get together and this time was no exception. Her house is wild and crazy busy. She lives on a farm that has chickens, sheep, horses, dogs, cats, and lots of people. Never a dull moment as you can imagine.

Suzy's niece, Aimee, just had a baby and we went up for the shower. These pictures of the girls are at the shower. They are perfect reflections of the girls.
Alex is delicate and dainty with her feet together and crossed with a sweet little smile.
Abby is like a bull in a china shop with her feet apart and that big ole grin on her face.

My girls really couldn't be more different but I do love them both to pieces.

this picture is of them giving me "Peace Out". They crack me up.

Visit to Aunt Suzy's house in Michigan

Aunt Suzy's nephew, Frank, is a local fireman. He was nice enough to take out the big firetruck and give us all a ride, sirens blaring the whole time. It was awesome. The girls had so much fun. (kind of nice to have connections in a small town).

The girls were loving trying on fireman hats and playing with the firetruck sirens.

The girls got to check out the sheep. They loved this. Alex was particularly fascinated by them.

Alex and Abby got to feed the chickens and collect their eggs. While Abby was all for it, Alex was a little more reserved.

Chicken fact: I asked my friend Suzy, how do you get brown eggs? Does anyone know?

Brown chickens lay brown eggs and white chickens lay white eggs.

We brought 2 dozen home with us. I love fresh eggs. They were delicious.
