China Sisters

Yesterday we went to visit one of Alex's China sisters. Lily. We had a very fun time playing. The other cutie pie is Caroline. She was with us in China when we got the girls. She is 3 months younger than Alex and Lily. Lily and Caroline smile so good for the camera. That Alex is a little sourpuss. She will be happy, smiley, and giggly and the minute you get the camera out --- sourpuss.

The Cherub

We took Alex to get her pictures taken the other day. Trust me when I say we had to work hard for these pictures. She was quite rotten and did not want to cooperate which is pretty typical for her when we want to get pictures. They turned out so much better than I was expecting. She looks like such an angel. I just wish we could get the smile we get when we are at home and no one else is around but at least we got pictures. Last time we took her we left without even doing the photo shoot. Hope you all enjoy them.

Familiy Pictures

Every weekend Alex and Mommy go out and about because Daddy is home sleeping. On Saturdays we go to Gymboree class and Sundays we go shopping or to the park or something fun. Today we went to a new park and Alex had a great time. Here are a few cute shots.

Sprinkler Fun

Alex loves the sprinkler. Anytime we see one she gets all excited. When we go for walks in the evening, we alway run through people's sprinklers if they are hitting the sidewalk.

Her wet clothes were weighing her down so we went to diaper action only.

Summertime Fun

We are trying to get Alex a little more interested in potty training. Yesterday, she actually sat on her potty with no diaper on. This is a good sign because usually she sits on it fully clothed and you ask her if she wants her diaper off and she screeches "nooooooo" and runs away. She we were excited. (It is the little things that make your day)
I took her to Easton today and for those of you who don't know it, it is a outdoor mall and they have fountains that kids can play in. So we packed a few snacks, stopped at McD's for a Hello Kitty happy meal and strolled our way to the fountains. Alex liked it but she wanted me to get in there with her, not really fun for me to be in sopping wet clothes. She did go in a little and layed out on her towel. It is amazing to me what she understands. I asked her if she wanted me to spread the towel out so she could lay on it and she said yes. So I did and by golly on it she hopped and here is that photo. I don't know what is up with the expression because she was laughing and smiling.
She loves hats. She will tap her head when she wants one on.
I always say to her "let me see how cute you are" and this is the pose I get.
Pretty darn cute, I must say.

AMERICAN GIRL

WE WENT TO A LITTLE 4TH OF JULY PARADE TODAY. ALEX SEEMED TO LIKE IT BUT SHE DIDN'T SAY MUCH. I THINK SHE WAS A BIT OVERWELMED BY ALL THE COMMOTION. SHE DID LIKE ALL THE CANDY THEY THREW FROM THE FLOATS.

Big isn't it? I really need to try and write more, but you know how it is with a 2 year old.Anyhoo it is the 4th and it is starting to look like we are going to get rained out on the whole fireworks thing tonight. Faye, Alex and I went to a little prade this morning (noon) over in Worthington, not the best prade, but it was cute, almost like a giant neighborhood party. We are currently trying to get Alex to nap so in case the fireworks do go off tonight she will be awake, but so far no luck she is up there just a jabbing away.Well we hope everyone is having a good 4th of July and I will try and get some pictures on here real soon.
