What would the Chinese do if they took horns from their vehicles

Last night I heard the worst noise at 10 PM, it was the sound of hundreds of cars, trucks, and bus horns all playing at once. There was a concert or some kind of preformance across the street at a pavillion / gymnasium, when it let out of course every car in Wuhan was trying to leave and they were all honking their horns at each other as if this would help. This is one thing that I have grown tired of here in Wuhan is all the horn honking, it is damn near 24 hours a day. At least in Guangzhou it is against the law to honk your horn near the hotel, maybe on the island. I understand that this is how they do things here, but boy does it get annoying for those that aren't used to it.
Driving in China is already crazy, but add all that horn honking and it will drive you crazy.>>>>>Todd

to funny about the horns (well, I suppose not so funny but funny to those of us not listening to them)

I hadn't realized it was illegal to honk the car horn in guangzhou.. maybe that's why it was quieter there.. :0)

Happy, quiet travels.
